Overnight Cold Weather Shelters Activated
Overnight Cold Weather Shelters are activated on Thursday, February 2.
Anyone in need of shelter can go to One Texas Center located at 505 Barton Springs Road for registration between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Anyone can call 512-305-4233 for more information on activation status.
The following Warming Centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday:
- Little Walnut Creek Branch Library, 835 W. Rundberg Ln, Austin, TX 78758
- Terrazas Branch Library, 1105 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702
- Austin Central Library, 710 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701
- Turner-Roberts Recreation Center 7201 Colony Loop Dr. Austin, TX 78724
NOTE: Pets are not permitted inside Warming Centers. If someone arrives with a pet, facility staff will contact Animal Services to provide pet support. Service animals are allowed at City facilities.
All Austin Public Health clinics and offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 2, due to inclement weather.
